Co-manager – Amalia Ramirez
Amalia is a founding caregiver and current Board Member of Heart is Home. She has been a caregiver for six years and joined Heart is Home, because she wanted to learn about coops and gain new experiences. She assisted in the development of the Coop job descriptions, Service Agreements, Client Bill of Rights, Policies and Procedures and list of services. Amalia is always in a good mood and will always do her best to assist people with their needs. She is bilingual and enjoys spending time with her family on her days off.
Co-manager – Maria S.
Maria has been with HiH since June 2019. She decided to join HiH because she loves the company and the services that we provide to clients. She loves working as a part of the team that she believes in and trusts her boss. She is a responsible and empathetic person. She is also a good listener. She loves music, shopping, and going out for walks. Her favorite part about caregiving is the companionship with the clients and listening to their stories. Something interesting about Maria is that she was born in El Paso and spent her childhood and teenage years in Mexico. She moved to Albuquerque when she was 18 years old.
Program Manager – Dana Howarth
Dana is a native New Mexican who received her bachelors degree in Family Studies from the University of New Mexico in 2013. Dana is young-at-heart. She enjoys traveling, spending time with her family and going for walks. Along with holding the position of Program Manager for Heart is Home Cooperative Care, Dana is the Program Manager for New Mexico Caregivers Coalition. Dana enjoys having the opportunity to work with two organizations that are working to promote better wages, training, and benefits for caregivers.

David S.
David joined HiH in October 2019. He enjoys reading and playing videos games. David is selfless, emphatic and enjoys helping others when they need assistance. He also can see the humor is most situations.
Debbie T.
Debbie has been with Heart is Home for six months and joined the team because she loves to help people. She is a kind, hardworking and helpful individual. She loves being a caregiver because she enjoys making a difference in someone’s life and gets along with people of all ages. She also likes to make crafts and watch sports.
Eddy C.
Eddy has been a caregiver with HiH since June 2019. She joined the team because it was a coop where she could succeed in helping others every day. Eddy always goes above and beyond for her clients and wants to ensure that the client and their family trust her, because she wants her clients to be always happy with their care. She enjoys sewing and other DIY projects. She also enjoys to organize and clean, which is a great trait for a caregiver!
Elizabeth B.
Elizabeth has been working with Heart is Home for nine months. She is a reliable, considerate, and positive caregiver. She says that her favorite part of working with Heart is Home is meeting consumers and learning about their life. She enjoys swimming, hiking, and sewing during her off time. She graduated in 2015 from a medical assisting program.
Emilia M.
Emilia is a new addition to the Heart is Home family. She joined Heart is Home because she wanted to have a job where she can help people and assist adults with their living needs. She is caring, trustworthy and values being on time. Emilia loves Zumba, the outdoors and spending time with friends. She also loves to cook, so she is a choice caregiver for meal preparation.
Liliana P.
Liliana is the newest addition to the Heart is Home caregiving staff. She is a kind and hard-working caregiver who can enjoy conversation in English or Spanish. She likes to read, watch movies, workout and go hiking. She loves to learn about her clients while she is helping them.

Maria has been a caregiver with Heart is Home since early 2018 and joined because she likes caregiving work. She enjoys spending time with her clients and trying to make them happy. She also enjoys to cook, listen to music and spend time outdoors. Her favorite part of caregiving is that she spend times caring for those who may need a little assistance in their daily lives.
Martina P.
Martina joined the Heart is Home team nine months ago because it is in her heart to help others. She is caring, compassionate and enjoys connecting with others. She loves the companionship that comes with being a caregiver for others and enjoys being able to do everything that she possibly can for her clients. She enjoys going to hot yoga.
Ray S.
Ray has been a caregiver with Heart is Home for five months and joined because it was different than her previous jobs, but would be a job that she would enjoy. Ray is always willing to adapt to news things and approaches life with enthusiasm and honesty. She enjoys driving, listening to music and singing along to her favorite songs. As a caregiver, she loves meeting new clients and building rapport with them, because then she gets the opportunity to listen to stories about their life experiences and accomplishments.
